ICESA’s POLICY ON SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT

SAFETY: The Management of ICESA is fully committed to the safety of its employees, customers and all other stakeholders. Being predominantly space & aviation consulting company, we put emphasis on safety of all passengers, operating crews and the vessels being operated (i.e. spacecraft, aircraft, trains, vehicles, etc.) and we subscribe to safety management system (SMS) as the programme that has been proved and borne fruits for best of companies all over the world. It is in this regard that we believe that all our employees, customers, stakeholders, etc. must feel free to always observe actions, commissions or omissions that may lead to incidents and report them. In line with the principles of safety culture, such reporting must be non-punitive in nature or else we would never get to know (as management) where the potential risk lies in any of our operating systems.

So, not only would we act as consultants to help our customers set up SMS programmes, but all our operations, processes and procedures are centred around this principle or culture. We believe in and encourage all our stakeholders to be proactive when it comes to safety rather than waiting for crisis to happen and then undertake damage control management or crisis management.       

ENVIRONMENT: In the same vein, ICESA’s management is concerned about the environmental preservation and fully committed to the principles of environment in all our operations. We endeavour to always instil the spirit of reduce, reuse and recycle, where possible to preserve the already limited resources that we have available in the world today. We are always mindful of the future generations and would encourage therefore all our employees, customers and stakeholders to avoid engaging on activities that are not deemed environmentally friendly.

The industry that we advise or consult deals with issues relating to noise pollution, air pollution through engine emissions, etc. and we always do the best we can to sensitize them of these possible perils in the lives of ordinary citizens and suggest ways and means of reducing or controlling such. Issues of disposal of used fluids and others are quite common place and we continue to advise the industry to resort to the best practices acceptable world over.
